So you’ve decided to choose us as your website designer, first of all, thanks! But what happens next in the design timeline?
Kicking Off the Design Timeline
After your initial consultation, either on the phone or via email, our designers will begin to research your brand and competitors. This is the first step in the design timeline, where we also start thinking about the layout, colours, typography, and everything else that will bring your website to life.
Creating Your Initial Page Designs
Once they have a solid understanding of the brief, they will start to design a website layout. Generally starting with a home page and a content page (normally an about page, a services page or something similar). Once we have two to three main pages designed, we will also design a mobile preview, so you can see what your site will look like responsively!
Reviewing and Refining
These designs all get packaged up and sent over to you in an easy-to-view PDF. Take your time to have a look through the page designs and let us know if there is anything you would like to change or anything you want to try out.
Building Your Website
Once you’re happy with the design, we move on to the build stage. We will create a temporary site for your website on a development environment while we carry out the build so you can see what it will look like when it is live.
We then continue to develop and code the website following your finalised design. As well as install and configure any extra functionality such as integrated calendars, e-commerce, booking systems etc.
Testing and Going Live
Once the design is approved and everything is tested thoroughly, we work on making the site live and adding any privacy policies, or any additional SEO.
